Training in CMOM regulations, practices, and procedures are available from a number of sources.
The workshops take one and one-half days, and are designed to give the participants an understanding of the CMOM regulations and how to implement and pay for their own programs. The schedule for the workshops extends throughout the year. Further information on the workshops can be found at the WEF
website: www.wef.org/conferences Click here to jump directly to a sample brochure of one of the workshops. (The brochure is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file and requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
The workshops have limited registration (50 max) and you will spend the three days thinking, talking, learning and sharing collection system management principles, asset management, and CMOM. The class spends nine hours together each day including lunch (which is furnished) and your instructors will be none other than some of the most knowledgeable people in the business. The workshops are now in their 14th year (yes, from before CMOM) and are very popular. The workshops are managed by Brown and Caldwell but are staffed from instructors across the spectrum. (The workshops are not marketing seminars.) The 2003 schedule is currently as follows: January 13-15 at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Click here to jump directly to the workshop brochure. (The brochure is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file and requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader.) Click here for a complete course description and schedule. April 2-4 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Click here to jump to UNLV's course description and registration information. Fall 2003 at the University of California, Irvine. This would repeat the successful workshop held there in November 2002.
