1)  US EPA various factsheets, and an overview of Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) Policy

This page at the EPA website has a variety of interesting documents related to SSO's.

2)  CMOM PowerPoint presentation

This overview of CMOM presents a concise picture of CMOM and its implications for wastewater agencies. It was furnished courtesy of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati. The work was done by Susan Moiso - a member of the WEF Collection Systems Committee - who worked for the MSD at the time.

3)  CMOM Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) factsheet - historical archive not available from US EPA

The factsheet is a two-page PDF document that provides an informative overview of the SSO rule.

4)  CMOM Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) Documents  - historical archive not available from US EPA

The NPRM itself is quite lengthy and consists of three PDF documents. You must download all three in order to have a complete copy of the proposed rule.

Note: These are the CMOM proposals that were signed on January 4, 2001 by the US EPA administrator. They were subsequently withdrawn from publication in the Federal Register following a directive by the incoming Bush administration.
