There is currently no single comprehensive technical guide on CMOM. Part of the reason for this is the ever-changing nature of CMOM because it is so new and there are many new ideas and developments underway. The quickness of changes can therefore make a printed book obsolete as soon as it rolls off the presses. However, the WEF Collection Systems Committee is keenly aware of the need for global guidance on CMOM so it was decided that a web-based guide be developed instead of a printed book. This allows the project team - ably led by project manager Sue McHugh - to keep information as current as possible. The guide was developed in three parts, following the basic divisions of CMOM itself. Each section is a collection of web links to articles and presentations written by authors throughout the industry. Accompanying each link is a description and synopsis of the article. Please click on the section you wish to visit. 1) Operations and Maintenance, including an introduction to CMOM. 2) Management - currently under development. 3) Capacity - currently under development. And, of course, there is always the necessary disclaimer: This guide was prepared by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Collection Systems Committee. Any opinions, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this publication do not necessarily reflect the views of WEF. The US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) is often referenced throughout the guide. Any opinions, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this publication do not necessarily reflect the current views of EPA. Additionally, WEF, nor any of WEF’s employees, make any warranty, expressed or implied, nor assume any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information, product or process included in this publication. Users of information from this publication assume all liability arising from such use. All credit for authorship of referenced articles shall be found on the owners web page(s). No authorship credit will be found within the guide itself.
